A Day at the Carnival

I met with Rob and Kathleen of Robert & Kathleen Photography earlier this week and I have been an avid blog stalker of their work for at least a year. They are both so incredibly talented and I can’t wait for the opportunity when we can work together! On Sunday, Rob posted some breathtaking pictures of a wedding he had done the day before for a beautiful couple named Allison & Bryan. I don’t normally post weddings that are not our own, but the images are too spectacular for me not to share.

The elated couple had a gorgeous church wedding with their reception at the picturesque Candlewood Inn. On the way to the church, Rob & Kathleen drove by a local carnival and thought it would make for some interesting photographs. The bride and groom thought so too. The result? Some of the most beautiful and unexpected photographs I’ve ever seen. All brides hope that their photographer is able to capture that unforeseen moment on their wedding day and translate it onto film… Rob & Kathleen captured that special moment (and they always do) for this special couple.

I know, I know! You want to see the images.. be sure to click the thumbnails to take in the full version. Also check out more beautiful pictures from this event (and feel free to add them to your “blog stalk” list): http://www.robertandkathleen.com. Lastly, Congratulations to Allision & Bryan!

I checked out the website. Wow a lot of beautiful shots. I love that idea of just stopping at a carnival. This company will go far with photos like that.

  2. I love the whimsical feel of this wedding and the photographer captured that sense beautifully. When it comes to choosing a photographer their natural talent really shows when it comes to impromptu stops such as this one. In my opinion it’s a strong reason to choose a photojournalistic photographer – they have a trained eye to catch special moments on the fly.

Hi Sarah — Thank you for stopping by our blog. I agree with you completely; ingenuity and quick-on-their-feet thinking really makes or breaks a photographer (and it is really one of the reasons why hiring a professional wedding photographer over your Uncle Bob is a must). Rob is definitely creative and a fast thinker.

  4. Thank you Candice for the feature, I very much appreciate it! I absolutely love what I do, being able to capture couple’s wedding days is one of the most incredible things. The carnival at Allison & Bryan’s Wedding was something very unexpected an fun, we had such a great time shooting there. Thank you again for the post Candice and thank you to everyone for checking the photos out!

You are absolutely welcome Rob. What I enjoy and admire most is your genuine enthusiasm and love for what you do. It is something we both share!
