A Jubilee Event: Nina + Kevin’s Beachside Wedding at The Lace Factory, Deep River Connecticut

Nina and Kevin–two of the most darling people you will ever meet! We all fell in love with how genuine and fun they and their families are! They are creative, too. It was such a treat to be invited into their home and see the items they crafted and there was plenty of that present on the big day! Truly, if you ever see anything from Nina or her mom on Etsy, do not second guess the purchase. I would not be surprised if I hear about them opening up their own store!

The ceremony was held at Nina’s family home in Westbrook on the beach. As guests arrived on this breezy summer day, they were treated to fresh squeezed lemonade and cucumber water while they dipped their toes in the sand. After saying, “I do,” under the bamboo chuppah, Nina, Kevin, and their family and friends were shuttled onto the charming Essex Steam Train that would bring them right to the reception at the Lace Factory.

The Lace Factory was filled with the prettiest and most colorful hand-picked wildflowers mixed in various glass bottles that Nina and one of our favorite Mother-of-the-Brides, Sharon, had diligently collected for so long. They sat atop the lace and burlap runners, handmade especially for this day. Add the gorgeous sunlight shining in from the tall windows and it gave you goosebumps, even in the August heat!

The night was nothing short of the best dance party ever with our girl, DJ Eko on site to provide THE best tunes for everyone! I’m not sure we saw anyone sit throughout the night–chairs were needed only for the Horah, which left all attendants laughing on and smiling.  The amount of love present that night was immeasurable! Hearing the way Nina and Kevin’s guests were talking about them was no surprise at all. This was one of those nights that left your heart feeling full!

The biggest round of applause to some of the greatest people you will ever know, Julie, Alison, and Ryan from Carla Ten Eyck Studios for capturing it all!
