Engage11! Grand Cayman Recap Part I

I haven’t been home in nearly 12 days after an exciting trip to both Costa Rica for a destination wedding and Grand Cayman for the 8th Engage conference at the Ritz Carlton. I had such a fantastic time connecting with industry friends and listening to the inspirational speakers such as Barbara Corcoran, Marcy Blum, Ed Libby, Todd Fiscus, Brian Rafanelli, Sean Low, Jasmine Star, Randy Fenoli, Carley Roney, David Beam, Darcy Miller, Mindy Weiss, Ceci Johnson, Marley Majcher, Simon T. Bailey, Andy and Brian Marcus, Sylvia Weinstock and an awesome Media Panel discussion lead by Michelle Rago. It was great to meet so many people that we chat with on a weekly basis but never get the opportunity to sit down with!

Check out these two videos of Engage11! Grand Cayman, produced by Elysium Productions:

Happy weekend. xoxo

Engage! 2011 at the Grand Del Mar Hotel in San Diego: Day 1

Hola! Hope you had a wonderful memorial day weekend. I am here in at the gorgeous Grand Del Mar Resort and Spa attending the luxury wedding conference Engage along Beth Chapman of The White Dress by the shore and so many other talents in this industry. Yesterday was an inspiring kick off led by Simon T. Bailey and David Beam where we were motivated and inspired to change our way of thinking and get out of our comfort zones! Rebecca, Kathryn and their team put together a gorgeous welcome session with beautiful details and a gorgeous bag full of amazing goodies!

All the images below are courtesy of Jessica Claire!

Later in the evening, we all attended a fantastic welcome party overlooking the valley with a beautiful, rustic and elegant vibe with long wooden tables, benches with gorgeous tufetted fabric, and tablescapes filled with mercury glass, succulents, wood plants, orchids and moss. The circular bar was rough wood and covered with moss and flowers. The food stations were delicious– kettle corn, cotton candy, made to order tacos, lobster and clams, and made-to-order sliders. There was an incredible performance by Elan Artists with an awe inspiring instrument that was part guitar, part bass, and part harp. The strings ran from the stage to the second story of the Grand Del Mar. It was absolutely incredible! Check out the video below.

Introducing Collaborate & Create: A photography and design event

I am so excited to be partnering up with my friend and colleague, Carla Ten Eyck to put together an intimate and intensive workshop dedicated to creativity and photography in the wedding industry. Collaborate and Create 2010 is kicking off with a BANG on May 16th through the 19th at the renowned Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. This workshop is open to both planners AND photographers. Attendees with have the opportunity to collaborate, design, and create their own editorial wedding style photo shoot with teaching, guidance and support by myself and Carla. At the end of this workshop attendees will have a stunning portfolio of work. There are limited (and by limited I mean EIGHT spots total divided between the two mediums) attendee spots for both planners and photographers for this exclusive, one-of-a-kind workshop. All the important details are located at collaborateandcreate.com, where you can learn more about the focus of Create and Collaborate, the ocean house, contributing vendors, and a break down of the workshop schedule.

If you’ve been looking for a means to become creatively inspired or if you’ve had an idea swimming around in your head without the knowledge to make it happen, this is the workshop for you. Seats are selling out before we’ve even made this official announcement, so be sure to contact us as soon as possible to reserve your seat!
