Connecticut Weddings 2008: Getting Ready

I have to admit, this is my favorite moment of the entire wedding day. There is something so amazing about a bride being surrounded by generations of important women as she puts her dress on, like so many of them did before her. It is a time when emotions begin to run raw, where mom and grandma get tiery-eyed, and the bride sees the culmination of her life thus far staring back at her in the mirror. Here are some of my favorite getting ready shots:

Photographs courtisey of Carla Ten Eyck Photography, Robin Dini Photography, RAW Photo Design, and Rob & Kathleen Photographers.

Hey Candice! You picked some awesome shots. We love the getting ready time too – the house is always filled with so much energy… bridesmaids running around helping, mothers getting emotional and then the moment the bride walks out in the dress for the first time – it’s incredible. Thanks so much for picking some of our shots! You rock! :)

Lovely bridal preparation pictures, I especially like the one the lobby with the Bride’s long veil pulled out behind her.
