A Jubilee Event: Sumiko + Max’s Playful Garden Wedding at Priam Vineyard in Colchester, CT
It is not lost on us how privileged we are to be a part of so many couples’ and families’ personal history. We have earned the opportunity to witness incredible examples of love, family, and celebration. It is so bittersweet to see a wedding day draw to a close – we love to see the entire planning and design process come to life and we absolutely adore seeing the faces of our beloved clients when they walk into their space, but saying goodbye is the worst! Our couples become our friends… a part of our own little family.
Sumiko and Max made this beyond easy. They are so kind, beautiful, and such selfless people. They possess the most infectious personalities that make you want to hang out and get to know them. They’re fun and they always have a way of making everyone around them grin from ear to ear. Their families highlighted these traits and were the most wonderful addition to this planning process!
Mirroring their personalities, Sumiko and Max’s design was filled with bright, colorful bursts of pink and blush speckled with soft ivory and classic gold. Priam Vineyard was the perfect backdrop, hugging us in rows and rows of lush green vines. Their beautiful floral arch was constructed by a dear friend, but we still cannot get over those gorgeous dahlias by Blush Floral Design! They, without exaggeration, exceeded the size of our heads. Our tables were dressed with the same breathtaking florals in an array of vintage gold vessels on top of the most playfully perfect linens to emulate an elegant garden party.
The fun and energy was never in short supply! Max may have stolen the show with his dance moves, as you can see, and rightfully so. Nevertheless, we will never forget this day and we will never forget this couple. Sumiko and Max, thank you for allowing us to take part in such a momental day. Big hugs to you and we wish you all the happiness and love you gave all of us that day! XO
