First, let me apologize for the long lag in between inspiration boards! I’ve been so busy and this one has been sitting in photoshop for a long time.
I was inspired to do this board by an email I received from Crate & Barrel last month, advertising some of their new fall products! I saw these two images and immediately loved the color combination. I love purple, pumpkin (although this color is officially named “Tenne”) and the color of pear together. It is so fall festive and effortless. I think food provides a lot of color palates that we must consider. I remember watching an episode of Trading Spaces MANY years ago where Genevieve Porter did a room inspired by a cup of miso soup. I always admired and understood her for that, and I try to find inspiration in the same way: everyday life and the unexpected.
This color palate really asked for a country-style wedding. I could see it implemented at Candlelight Farms Inn, Tyrone Farm, The Webb Barn, or Wickham Park. Of course, it would also be gorgeous at a private estate wedding! There are so many fun elements that I wanted to include but I just didn’t have the space. So, here is to what is left of our fall foliage!
Pumpkin colored plate with pear place card from Pottery Barn; Wedding Gown “Keira” from Modern Trousseau; Wagon of mums as decor from unknown source; Gold / Purple invitation suite from Cheerupcherup on Etsy.com; Purple champagne cocktails from Brides.com; Tuscan style buffet on a rustic dining table from Brides.com; Purple, Pumpkin and Green bouquet from Martha Stewart Weddings; Three green cakes on wooden cake stands from Brides.com; Glazed pumpkin cookie favors from unknown source; Purple boutonnieres from Martha Stewart Weddings.
Love it Candice. You have to tell me how you do that color palette page.
I too heart these colors…very warm. The colors definitely work very well for a fall wedding.
