When you think of Midsummer Night’s Dream– aside from the storyline of love– Midsummer Night’s Dream has always been a visually stunning piece of work. Remember the 1999 film with Michelle Pheiffer and Kevin Kline? Romantic, whimsical, colorful, full of nature and flowers, weird, eccentric, fairytale-esque… we channeled all these things into our inspiration board and came up with a color palette of pinks and purples, with a lot of green and deep wood tones. Our tablescape was dripping with fresh moss on a vintage, hard carved, wooden table. We used moss as chair cushions– accented with colorful orchids. We hung old brass chandeliers above our table, where Tony created floral accents with hanging green amaranthus and orchids. Posh Paperie created garden menu cards with crepe paper flowers and butterfly place cards.

Tony and Cat from Datura: A Modern Garden created a variety of amazing bouquets– from simple and traditional hand tied flowers with ribbon tendrils, to a beautiful bird’s nest, floral balls, hanging floral lanterns, and a butterfly!

Beth Chapman from The White Dress by the shore styled all the beautiful and whimsical fashion and accessories, which ranged from light and airy dresses to big tulle ball skirts. I loved that the fashion was diverse and unique. It’s so fun to see a style interpreted in many different and appropriate ways!

  1. dude…is that a bride on a couch in the woods? Ummm…..pretty sure that is NOT a moment and there is a certain someone that is NOT going to be happy ;) Seriously – you guys killed it again! Gorgeousness all-around!

  2. Love how this looks thru ur layout! Such fun with everyone, yet again!! And Eric, I manufacture moments in the woods, DUH! :)

  3. Candice –

I just love how creative you are. The shoot pics are amazing and the team did a great job!! Is there a book in your future?

  4. I absolutely love the lighting in the last picture. You really made it work by making everybody dark aside from the center bride

  5. I really enjoyed the creative energy as well as the whimsical and airy emotion which they evoke. Great job!
