A Day at the Carnival
I met with Rob and Kathleen of Robert & Kathleen Photography earlier this week and I have been an avid blog stalker of their work for at least a year. They are both so incredibly talented and I can’t wait for the opportunity when we can work together! On Sunday, Rob posted some breathtaking pictures of a wedding he had done the day before for a beautiful couple named Allison & Bryan. I don’t normally post weddings that are not our own, but the images are too spectacular for me not to share.
The elated couple had a gorgeous church wedding with their reception at the picturesque Candlewood Inn. On the way to the church, Rob & Kathleen drove by a local carnival and thought it would make for some interesting photographs. The bride and groom thought so too. The result? Some of the most beautiful and unexpected photographs I’ve ever seen. All brides hope that their photographer is able to capture that unforeseen moment on their wedding day and translate it onto film… Rob & Kathleen captured that special moment (and they always do) for this special couple.
I know, I know! You want to see the images.. be sure to click the thumbnails to take in the full version. Also check out more beautiful pictures from this event (and feel free to add them to your “blog stalk” list): http://www.robertandkathleen.com. Lastly, Congratulations to Allision & Bryan!
Fabulous Find: Kate Spade Clutch @ 60% off!
Sometimes grim, rainy mornings are the best mornings to get your to-do list accomplished. So, what was on my to-do list this morning, you ask? To research a new fabulous bag for myself! I’m leaning toward the Louis Vuitton Manhattan PM bag or a traditional Burberry handbag (I know there is a world of difference between them!) and during my search, I decided to hit up bagborroworsteal.com to see if they had any new inventory in their outlet section. No, I am not an advocate of renting a purse… because my motto is if you have to rent it, you still can’t afford it! I do enjoy their outlet section of never used or gently used hand bags. Why? Because the discount is amazing, the bags are in excellent shape, and it is a much better and safer alternative to eBay.
Regardless, the point of this post is to share with you the AMAZINGLY discounted “Olivia” clutch by Kate Spade in both chocolate and ivory. This clutch screams glam and is now super affordable to all of us regular folks (marked down 60%!). Enjoy, and happy buying!
Fabulous Find: Parisian Bridal Gown Cards
Many thanks to Miss Cupcake over at Weddingbee for scoring such a fantastic find. I purchased five sets of these beautiful Parisian Bridal Gown post cards from Crate & Barrel per her post, and I can’t wait for them to be delivered. The best part? They are marked down from $12.95 for a package of 8 cards to $2.95! How can you pass up a bargian like that? There are 8 cards to a package, with four different beautiful photographs of hats, veils and gowns by Suzanne Ermann (photographer is Don Golas). As Crate & Barrel says, these are perfect for thank-you notes to your bridal party and special friends. They would also look beautiful in a welcome basket for out-of-towners, and could be sent in thanks for any wedding or shower gifts you may receive. What am I going to do with them? Well, I plan on reserving them for my special brides. And of course, I’ll frame some to add a little more decor to my office!
7/24/2008 Update: Unfortunately, it seems as though so many brides read about this fabulous find that it is no longer in stock. If you still must have these cards (like me), check your local Crate & Barrel store. Our order is still listed as “back ordered”, so here’s hoping our 5 card sets make it to UPS!
