Handmade, vintage style typographic art by Coulson Macleod

These amazing pieces of love fueled art have inspired me and I wanted to pass them along. These are limited edition art pieces by Coulson Macleod. They are handmade, vintage-style, oak framed prints on white-washed wooden panels. I really love them. I’ve always loved typography has art. Visit their website to learn more and see additional pieces. These would make an amazing gift to your significant other or as a wedding gift.

Things We Love, Vol. #4

Friday has now been reserved for things we love — tidbits from around the web that inspired me all week long.

The above centerpiece with pink peonies and hydrangea from a. hanna design via Once Wed. There is so much beauty in simplicity.

I love this idea of creating a living wall…. now I just need to hire someone to do it for me, since I have NO time!

Look at this gorgeous peach eyelet paper ribbon from a bohemian market. Isn’t it fantastic? There are so many uses for it I don’t even know where to begin!!

Really loving this blue and raspberry garden wedding by Corbin Gurkin Photography. Love all the vintage cans for vases, the hanging birdcages, the blueberries and raspberries as favors. Yum!

These beautiful french alchemy soaps would make perfect gifts for your bridesmaids, shower hostesses, or as a treat for yourself for all your hard work!

I love free downloads! This vintage postcard download has so much potential… save the dates, RSVP inserts, wedding guest book, thank you cards.

Perfect tutorial on 100 Layer Cake on how to make blueberry jam as favors for your guests. Delish!!

This gorgeous bride with her amazing dress and that red hair!

All these paper details and the dessert station are amazing from Stevie and Blake’s wedding featured on Southern Weddings. I love the yellow!

Hostess Gifts: The Best Wines at $15, $25, and $50

wine.jpgIf you are attending a holiday party this season you cannot arrive empty handed! There are so many fabulous gifts to give in honor of your hostess and wine is on the top of my list for every occasion. It is easy to pick up and everyone I know appreciates a good bottle of wine. I asked our friend Anu at Swirl Events to give us her top picks for wines in three different price points

$15 and under
* Monte Velho, Red Table Wine, Alentejo, Portugal $12
* Crios, Torrontes, Salta, Argentina $11
* Ben Marco, Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina $18
* Sorrelle Branco, Prosecco, $14

$25
* Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir, Marlborough, New Zealand $30
* Seghesio, Zinfande, Sonoma, CA $24

$50
* Ridge Pagani Ranch, Sonoma, CA $35
* Orin Swift Cellars, The Prisoner, Napa, CA $37
* Montinore, Parsons’ Ridge Estate, Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, $35
* Argyle, Reserve Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, OR $42

I am going to pick up a few of her recommendations. Can I just say that I love the Argentina wine that she has chosen? The wine from that region is absolutely delicious!

And if you are feeling a bit more generous consider giving a Swirl gift certificate. Swirl is so fabulous — they come with everything one needs in order to host a wine tasting event. I know of so many people who would LOVE this as a gift (myself included!). To learn more, visit Swirl’s website.

Vendor Spotlight: Le Viette

I love when talented and creative people contact me about their products! Kaitlyn from Le Viette emailed me earlier last week to introduce the beautiful works of art she and her team create. Le Viette is creating a wave of new trends in gift-giving and event decorations with elegantly designed towel sets that resemble real desserts. But wait until you see them! They look good enough to eat.

Are they not amazing? I think they would be spectacular for a desert themed bridal shower (stay tuned because we are planning a great post detailing some ideas for one!), desert themed dinner party, and of course, wedding favors! I would love to be greeted, as a guest, by one of these on my plate. I think they also make a great hostess gift!

Le Viette also paid attention to detail, and put the same amount of artistry in the packaging of these beautiful faux deserts – they are elegantly gift-wrapped with satin ribbon bows, custom-made gift boxes, mini insert-cards, flower lace papers, and much more. Le Viette products cost between $6.99 and $7.99.
