You know those couples who spend their whole wedding day just smiling? In fact, every time I had a chance to meet with Amanda and Max about their wedding when they visited Barbados– they were always smiling. When Max proposed to Amanda, they decided that they wanted to have a destination wedding where Max grew up and there was no place more perfect than his family’s plantation home on the South Coast in Christ Church, Barbados.

With sprawling views of the sea behind them, they exchanged vows in front of 140 of their closest friends and family under a beautiful Chuppah. Right after the ceremony, they dashed away into a secret garden to spend a few moments together, alone, soaking in the moment. I think more couples should do this– it truly is one of the very few moments you’ll have together all by yourself!
