As soon as Jasmine sent me images of Stella and Brian’s gorgeous May wedding at The Webb Barn in Wethersfield, Connecticut– I knew I was going to have a hard time condensing the images down for this blog post. Her images immediately transported me back to this fun, family-oriented, vibrant, jubilant, humorous, loving, and special day. Stella and Brian put so much thought into their wedding. I mean, they really thought about what they wanted this day to be. It wasn’t just beautiful to the eyes– it was beautiful to the heart.
They incorporated both their unique heritages in so many ways– and one of my favorite elements of this day was the “family tree” they were married alongside, which had pictures of those important marriages who came before them. After the ceremony, the took an impromptu polaroid of themselves with their guests seated as a backdrop, and added the image to an empty frame to complete the tree. It was so moving and unique!
Stella was one of the most beautiful brides we’ve ever had– perfectly herself in every way. I loved her gown, which had a hint of this blush / beige tone and of course, her gorgeous floral crown!
After guests enjoyed a personal and moving ceremony, they mingled and cocktailed on the patio outside the barn, enjoying lawn games, a glass (or two!) from the whiskey bar, and delicious nibbles from Emily’s Catering. As dinner began, they transitioned over to the lawn under a beautiful sunset with cafe lights above, long wooden tables nestled in the trees, and gold crowns for them to wear. Can I tell you how much I love these crowns? This crowd of family and friends were a jubilant bunch to begin with, but when then put them all on, they immediately shined brighter. I love the images of everyone toasting to Stella and Brian’s love with their fun crowns on!
The tablescapes were filled with gorgeous, colorful flowers in a variety of unique containers. There were books stacked with posy vases and little gold animal figurines (in looking at Jazzy’s images, some of these animals seem to have a life of their own and a personality to match!).
After dinner, they danced the night away inside the barn and headed off into the evening to continue the festivities. It was such a distinct pleasure to be part of this gorgeous and heartwarming wedding! Thank you to Jasmine of C10 Studios for these beautiful, beautiful images!

We all dream of those love stories that make us swoon… the prince charming or gorgeous girl that makes us blush and get those excited butterflies inside. When you look at that couple together, you can’t help but smile because they exude happiness and love. This is Katie and Aaron! They met on the Jersey Shore during a summer break and were connected from that day forward.
They are two incredible individuals who, together, make an unstoppable duo! You can’t help but love them and want to be in their presence because they make everyone around them feel so happy. This was the case for their families and friends, too. All fun, all wonderfully beautiful people. Plus, I may have to admit this Maid of Honor speech will go down in history as one of my top favorites–a teacher by day and a witty, meet-cute storybook writer by night with all the humor to grant guests a chance to learn more about the favorite couple!
We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating at the gorgeous Belle Mer alongside the sweet Erin McGinn, who we cannot thank enough for capturing this love story!! The tables were dressed in a crispy ivory with lush, green garlands extending the lengths of each and speckled with full peach and white blooms and gold accents, thanks to the out-of-this-world talented Greenlion Designs! To top it all off, we had the fantastic DJ Max Baun who kept every single person on their feet all night long. There was not one seat taken as far as the room would allow!
Huge thanks to Snippet & Ink for featuring this and for giving readers an inside view into Katie and Aaron’s inspiration! To our lovely couple: thank you for having us on board for such a completely fantastic day from start to finish! We hope that all of the excitement, hilarity, and genuine love that was present on your day is with you for 100 more years!

There is nothing I love more than that perfect fall day–the crisp smell that the air holds, the vibrant colors of the trees, and the rich foods that make our mouth water. Megan and Trey had the perfect fall day for a wedding! Their day was dressed up in purples and ivory with rustic touches around every corner, guests dined on only the most sinfully favored foods and chocolates, and the chill was just enough to make you snuggle up next to the one you love. We loved working at the beautiful Brooklawn County Club and Fairfield, which hosted Megan and Trey’s gorgeous wedding!
We had the wonderful opportunity to work with Mary Beth, the fabulous mother of the bride, who was so sweet and warm, just like our amazing couple. It was truly a pleasure to witness such an day in the life of a beautiful family. Megan, Trey, and Mary Beth: thank you all so much for allowing us to be a part of this moment. We wish you all the best in the world and send all of our love your way!

When a beautiful girl gets together with a dapper man and you add in two warm, welcoming, happy, and downright fun families with several friends who know how to throw a dance party, it spells out a recipe for a pretty magnificent and upbeat wedding day! As in the case of all our weddings, it was bittersweet to see this one come to an end. It was impossible to leave without the biggest smile across your face!
We started the weekend off with Rachel and Dan’s rehearsal dinner, a light hearted BBQ with cornhole, garden lights, and a messy-fingered menu that was to die for! We had intended to have our dinner outside, but Mother Nature had other plans for the evening. So we put on our rain boots on and went to Plan B, which was just as beautiful! She was thanked the next day when we had the most perfect weather for the wedding. We loved working at their wedding venue, Berkeley College at Yale, which proved to be a fantastic backdrop for this gorgeous wedding day!
On the wedding day, the sky was blue, the grass was a bright, plush green, and we couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque setting. Elisabeth of Blush Floral Design helped us to create one of my most favorite ceremony settings ever–a perfect garden ceremony with pops of pink and purple that led right up to the large Oak tree in the North Courtyard of Berkeley College. From there, guests made their way to the South Courtyard for cocktail hour. The reception took place indoors, with high ceilings and long tables lined with lace and the biggest buds you will ever see!
If you are ever in New Haven, especially on the Yale Campus, look up! There is so much beautiful architecture and your surroundings will astound you. Berkeley College is packed with just as much beauty–we really couldn’t have created a better location if we had tried. Rachel and Dan, thank you for having us, and even more so for allowing us to share in such a beautiful day! We wish you all the best and 100 years of happiness and love! XO

Brooks and Kevin’s wedding was amazing– the preppy details, the delicious pub style food for dinner, the gorgeous color story and of course, their wonderful family and friends. I enjoyed working with them both on this day and we could have never anticipated that Hurricane Sandy would send their wedding plans into a tailspin, leaving their original wedding reception location heavily damaged. In two weeks time we had to make a huge change and thankfully, the wonderful team at The Guilford Yacht Club came to our rescue! Now, looking back, I couldn’t picture their wedding anywhere else.
Madison is an important town to Brooks and her family– she spent many summers as a kid visiting her grandparents’ beautiful home on the water. So, when it came time deciding on the location of her and Kevin’s wedding, they knew that this town with special meaning was the perfect place. The ceremony was held in the heart of town at The First Congregational Church. Brooks and Kevin drove off in their neighbors old Chevy pick up truck for a stellar party at The Guilford Yacht Club.
I loved Brooks’ attention to detail. She really owned some projects and made them her own– everything from the custom pillows she made for each guests, the hand lettered table assignments and signs through out the wedding (does she not have GORGEOUS penmanship?! I told her to start her own business!), and the pennant flags she sewed which we draped throughout our bar tent! Inside the main tent we had long, family style dining with custom made fabric runners (also by Brooks!) and the centerpieces were baskets filled with flowers, designed by Blush Floral Design. It was one of the most beautiful and creative ideas and the baskets were reused from another event in her family!
Guests dinned on a menu truly inspired by pub food like Fish n’ Chips and NY Strip, with condiments designed into the table decor. We even had bowls of homemade mini pickles on the table for guests to enjoy!

Feast your eyes! You may have seen these two love birds on Style Me Pretty yesterday, but prepare your hearts for the full details here!
Julia and Jamil were married on a hot summer day by the shore in Guilford, Connecticut. The sun was out, it was bright, but it was no comparison to how beautiful of a bride and a person Julia is! We were very lucky to work with her and Jamil and hear about the unique story of how they met. Bicycles have a long history in Julia’s family and along a bike race she had participated in, Jamil rode into her life. They decided to get to know one another post-race and that was the first day of a great adventure!
Julia and Jamil’s day was dressed up with lots of lace and bright pops of yellow and green at the Guilford Yacht Club. Guests took home darling little bike bells as favors, which also dubbed as the glass clinging for toasts. We even brought in a fun vintage bicycle from New England Country Rentals, an amazing find! I always find that the guests at an event are reflective of the personality of the couple. This couldn’t have been more true that night as everyone was so sweet and excited to celebrate their big day! They danced all night long with milkshakes and sliders in hand. Everyone was sad to see the evening end!
A huge hug and the biggest thank you to Katie Slater Photography for these absolutely beautiful photos!

I’m excited to share with you the gorgeous Gatsby inspired wedding of Nicole and Patrick at The Branford House Mansion in Groton, Connecticut! We had the opportunity to work with an all-star team of creatives to bring to life their vision and details (full list below the images). The day began for Nicole and her bridesmaids at The Steamboat Inn in Mystic and for Patrick and his groomsmen at The Salty Dog for fresh shaves. The ceremony was held at a gorgeous church in Waterford, decorated by Yumiko at Hana Floral with large gold candle pillars down the aisle with floral wreaths and greenery. A drink station greeted guests outside with darling jars full of refreshing lemonades.
After the ceremony, guests were shuttled by Trolley to the magnificent Branford House– which we completely transformed for Nicole and Patrick. It was truly breathtaking! A large urn of beautiful flowers greeted guests at a table with a linen handmade of flowers by Yumiko and her team, while Emily’s staff served up trays of champagne. Guests enjoyed lawn games on the great lawn, amazing food stations, a mojito bar, and blissful entertainment by Lapis Luna of Elan Artists.
The interior of the Branford House was spectacular– every room brimming with elegant flowers, purple linens, gold flatware, and exquisite paper details.
Some of my favorite details of the day were the gorgeous floral designs by Yumiko of Hana Floral Design– they were brimming with beautiful, big blooms in shades of purple, white and blush. Every piece of floral on this day was just so gorgeous and Yumiko and her team really did a fabulous job! Rick and his team at Emily’s catering customized a fantastic menu for Nicole, Patrick and their guests– and really showcased their culinary expertise with a beautifully displayed raw bar on blocks of ice, a summer shack food station with fresh and local ingredients, and several paired and customized trays of passed alcohol and appetizers. Nichole of Coral Pheasant did a remarkable job on the paper– laser cut, die cut, gold foil and letterpress was everywhere from the RSVP card to the menus at each place setting.
A heartfelt thank you to my team for being so spectacular on this day. They, along with all our amazing vendors, truly did a wonderful job and we couldn’t be more thrilled for Nicole and Patrick. Enjoy! x

Our favorite weddings are abundant in personal details and nods to the couple getting married that day. Emily, whom you might recognize from Southern Weddings Magazine and Blog, and John’s wedding was nothing short of personal notes of who they are! We were there to ensure all of her details were in place and the day went off without a hitch–all except for theirs of course. It was a privilege to be present for such a beautiful day. You know those couples who are so sweet, fun, and hysterical that you just want to hug them over and over again to thank them for giving you the chance to work together? Blaine and Chris! The second they walked into our studio, we knew their wedding would be one we would remember forever. Every part of planning their shoreline bash was a small hint towards the adventure we experienced that day! Even without the tornadoes that touched down that September day, it was still a night to remember.
The gorgeous ceremony sat beachside that evening, with the waves crashing on the sand leading up to the rose petal-lined aisle. The archway, housing our couple and their closest loved ones was a picture of perfection, draped in roses and plush hydrangea, thanks to the oh-so talented Elisabeth of Blush Floral Design! Dinner and dancing was held in the newly renovated Madison Beach Hotel, which boasts floor to ceiling windows and French doors overlooking the water. Our design had a Great Gatsby flair to it with vintage, glam touches spotted with coral, gold, and a hint of navy. Add Blaine’s contagious smile and the room lit up!
