Happy planning!

We all dream of those love stories that make us swoon… the prince charming or gorgeous girl that makes us blush and get those excited butterflies inside. When you look at that couple together, you can’t help but smile because they exude happiness and love. This is Katie and Aaron! They met on the Jersey Shore during a summer break and were connected from that day forward.
They are two incredible individuals who, together, make an unstoppable duo! You can’t help but love them and want to be in their presence because they make everyone around them feel so happy. This was the case for their families and friends, too. All fun, all wonderfully beautiful people. Plus, I may have to admit this Maid of Honor speech will go down in history as one of my top favorites–a teacher by day and a witty, meet-cute storybook writer by night with all the humor to grant guests a chance to learn more about the favorite couple!
We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating at the gorgeous Belle Mer alongside the sweet Erin McGinn, who we cannot thank enough for capturing this love story!! The tables were dressed in a crispy ivory with lush, green garlands extending the lengths of each and speckled with full peach and white blooms and gold accents, thanks to the out-of-this-world talented Greenlion Designs! To top it all off, we had the fantastic DJ Max Baun who kept every single person on their feet all night long. There was not one seat taken as far as the room would allow!
Huge thanks to Snippet & Ink for featuring this and for giving readers an inside view into Katie and Aaron’s inspiration! To our lovely couple: thank you for having us on board for such a completely fantastic day from start to finish! We hope that all of the excitement, hilarity, and genuine love that was present on your day is with you for 100 more years!

We are excited to announce that one of the prettiest weddings we have had the pleasure to be a part of was featured in Chic Magazine! The wedding looks amazing in there and we cannot thank Justin and Mary enough for helping capture all the beauty!
Stay tuned tomorrow as we feature their full wedding on the blog! XO

Let’s face it- we’re obsessed with Mad Men! We love to fawn over Don Draper and his suave demeanor. Or maybe you’re more of a Sterling fan. Either way, we can’t help but desire to be any of its bevy of characters for a day. At least, I know I would love to rummage through their closet and emerge as Christina Hendricks. We felt The Study at Yale in New Haven was the most befitting scene for this, with it’s modern mid-century feel and in the heart of the city. Thankfully we had the fun, creative, energetic group from Raw Photo Design on hand to capture all the glamour!
When it came down to the styling, Beth Chapman from The White Dress by the Shore couldn’t have brought in anything more captivating! She has always been enthralled with the lady-like fashion of the 1960s. Gloves, full skirts, pearls, bouffant hair styles- the whole thing! She just adores it! Couple this with the work of Jennie Fresa Makeup and Skin Care and the W Hair Salon of Madison and we were ready to dine on a three martini lunch. We had Tony Palmieri from Datura, A Modern Garden on hand to push the envelope with his floral decor. Be sure to check out the second table we designed with the glass centerpiece. I absolutely ADORED the look this created- so simple, but so gorgeous! The icing on the cakes were the deco art inspired treats from A Little Imagination Cakes– delicious!
Thank you to all who were a part of this this shoot and to Wedding Chicks for featuring this on their site this week!

This week I got caught up on all my favorite blogs– one of them being Southern Weddings— and was so excited to read the series Emily Plans a Wedding by Emily Ayer, Art Director of Southern Weddings Magazine. Emily is one of our brides getting married in September at the CGA Chapel and the Eugene O’Neill Theater. I loved going through all of Emily’s details and thoughts about her wedding and knew you would too. Click the links below to follow along as Emily and John plan a wedding. XO!

{ the many exciting places we’ve gone in 2010 }
This week we’re taking restful time off to plan for the new year– and part of that is reflecting on all that we’ve done in 2010. As I look back at our incredible season, filled with so much travel, amazing collaborations, first dances, exciting adventures, new friends, and the best clients in the world– I’m reminded of all that we’ve accomplished, seen, and been part of. With such a busy year, it has been easy this week to unwind and relax.
A huge thank you to our 2010 married clients and their families– and our soon-to-be wedded clients– your year is almost here! We also must thank our incredible colleagues who worked so hard this past year to exceed expectations and produce beautiful, delicious, stunning, and memorable events.
2011 will certainly bring a whole set of new adventures and experiences– and we can’t wait to get started!
xxooo~
