Here, we share expert planning tips, design inspiration, real event stories, and behind-the-scenes glimpses into the magic we create. Whether you’re dreaming up your wedding, hosting a milestone event, or simply looking for creative ideas to make life’s moments more special, our journal is filled with insights to guide and inspire. At Jubilee Events, we believe every celebration should be as meaningful as it is beautiful—so let’s bring your vision to life, one unforgettable detail at a time!

I spoke with a dear friend and colleague just the other day about how we have so many incredible weddings to share here. 2021 was a year, to say the least. By now, we know the magnitude of what 2020 pushed into 2021 and how it affected weddings and life in other ways. Katy and Dan are among our many couples who were forced to postpone their wedding, but the way everything came together so beautifully is a testament to what these two deserve! Their Stone Acres Farm wedding was every ounce of perfection, and I truly believe that’s in large part to who they are.
Their wedding was set on the most incredible September day. You know, the kind where it’s right in between Summer and Fall. The ceremony was held in the garden, with the reception under a sailcloth Sperry Tent. If you’ve ever been to Stone Acres, then you know how quintessential their grounds are, not needing to be enhanced by much at all.
Having spent so much of their life on the Groton shoreline, it only made sense to incorporate some type of nautical nod. We accomplished this with classic tones of navy, slate, and serenity blue, softened with white, ivory, and touches of blush throughout the floral decor. Our favorite part of our designs is the incorporated personality; here, we did that by way of patterns and textures. From the playful blue, slate, and gray linens to the wildflower-like arrangements by the incredible Hana Floral Design. The wooden chargers and mismatched rattan lanterns suspended throughout the tent. It’s safe to say this wedding was all of our something blue! It’s a timeless design, something we’ll love for years and trends to come!
My favorite part of this Stone Acres Farm wedding was not a singular design detail. It was not Miss Maisy making her appearance for the ceremony with her sweet floral collar. It was the absolute outpouring of love we witnessed from everyone present! You can see this in the wedding party photos, years of friendship coming together to celebrate Katy and Dan. You could feel this in the toasts, which evoked the most heartfelt emotion that embraced everyone. We witnessed this in Katy and Dan’s brother performing a song for them and their guests to set off the liveliest dance crew we’ve seen down by the shore!
That and Katy’s reception and afterparty dress! That bow!!
Katy and Dan, thank you and your families so much for allowing us to be a part of such an exceptional weekend! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to create this setting for you and your loved ones. Most of all, thank you for the memories! I’m sure they can’t hold a flame to yours, but we will try. XOXO

We just shared one of our favorite celebrations on the blog, Michelle and Jared’s Connecticut Shoreline Wedding, which you can find and fall in love with here!
This wedding was our first event of the season with, quite honestly, the best couple, team, and setting to kick off our year!
Our first wedding encouraged me to make a few predictions for what the 2021 season would look like. The reigning notion I came back to was that no matter what the day looked like, everyone would be elated to celebrate together. The vibe would be unmatched, and we’d all walk away from that day, hearts overflowing.
Our GORGEOUS bride, one of the coolest ladies I know, made a speech that day, and I often reference it. She said, to which her guests applauded: “We could be sitting on the ground, eating pizza off of a paper towel, and I know we’d all be having the time of our lives.”
And she’s right! While I promise that it was far more gorgeous than pizza and paper towels (though, who wouldn’t get down with that?!), Michelle hit the nail on the head. The things that mattered most were present.
Despite postponements, constantly changing guidelines, a global pandemic, and last-minute hurdles that never fail to surface, it was the best day because we embraced the best parts. And today? That’s all we remember when we look back!
We are thrilled to see it grace the gorgeous pages of their site — read more here!

It is one of the most exceptional parts of our job to witness and celebrate a couple coming together and celebrating the next part of their adventure surrounded by their loved ones. It may top the list, really! We’re witness to one of the most monumental and intimate events in a family’s life, something we call ourselves lucky for. When Carats & Cake featured the dear Amanda and John‘s mansion wedding at the Branford House this past week, we were easily reminded of this sentiment and afforded the opportunity to relive one of the most special, personal days — and one of the BEST dance crowds — we’ve ever been a part of!
A little bit about Amanda and John… we love them!! And it’s just that. They are our people and we thoroughly enjoyed every element of this process with them and especially on the day of. They’re down-to-earth, kind, and so excited about planning an experience that they and their guests would enjoy. And boy did they!!
They’re also not scared of a bit of adventure, which we all celebrated when these two stopped traffic on the Mystic Bridge for a few photos. Yes, you read that correctly… they stopped traffic on the Mystic Bridge for a few smiles and even more jaw-dropping reactions from their crew — vendors, wedding party, and strangers alike! Thanking our lucky stars for the beautiful soul that is Brooke Allison, as she captured and embraced every moment of this as our couple did.
The Branford House is one of our most favorite spaces to work with and every design we have created within this property has become a timeless favorite. When we began mansion wedding design, Amanda described her day as embodying a classic, art-deco, romantic, nature-inspired. I remember her giggling because, how could that make sense, she asked. It does, though! We can always make sense of the array of images and words in your mind and that, to us, is one of the coolest aspects of design!
Through our floral decor with the amazing Blush Floral Design, black and white checkered dance floor, and the most romantic color palette of blush, taupe, cream, gold, and pops of navy and slate blue, we created an aesthetic that made our hearts sing and will continue to do so for eternity! Add in the most amazing stationery design from Coral Pheasant Stationery to set the tone for this momentous occasion, complete with a wood grained invitation that awakened the senses and we had a celebration on our hands.
Looking at Amanda and John’s photos, there were so many that I could call my favorite, but the ones that stood out the most — other than these two stopping the world in their tracks on the Mystic Bridge — were the photos of everyone dancing. The life and enjoyment on their faces and happiness behind their experience. Also, this bridal party has been unofficially adopted as our hype squad for all events and projects in life, wedding related or not! It’s safe to say we all found ourselves cheering and smiling when surrounded by this crew!
Amanda and John, THANK YOU SO MUCH for giving us the most fortunate chance to be a part of your story and be in the presence of such happiness. We are the luckiest ones to have been surrounded by so much love that day and we hope that’s a feeling that stays with you always!! Here’s to many more days, weeks, and years smiling, laughing, and dancing together. XOXO

This wedding certainly would not have been what it was without our amazing team for the day. Sending lots of love to these professionals!!

As an event planner and designer, you are constantly living in all of the seasons, all of the time. During the chilly winter months, we are looking ahead to the warmer season when most of our events take place, while those warmer months are prime for planning! Though the colder season is not ideal for an outdoor event, there is a beauty that exists for weddings and events and found in a variety of venues. Take Chamard Vineyards for example — a lush, open idyllic space to host your nearest and dearest over an intimate dinner under a big top tent. When the temps are below pleasurable, though, they have a several unique settings for your event.
The magic you’ll see below took place in their barn — a loft like, rustic space set with handmade farm tables and large barn doors that provide a cozy, warm feeling. With deep, moody tones in marsala, gray, and black, a touch of gold, and texture, we highlighted why winter weddings are just as perfect as any other season!
Each event gives us as designers the opportunity to create a personalized celebration around the person or guests of honor. Each element should be infused with an affinity you possess, which ultimately cultivates your unique wedding aesthetic. Flowers by Justine and I took the idea of a classic table runner and tailored it by creating a runner of colorful tapered candles, mixed among lush, draped greenery. The gold touches on and around the table added the perfect level of romance and elegance to the room and complimented the dreamy gowns hand selected by Beth Chapman at The White Dress by the Shore.

Texture was the next big element we had to have! There are many unexpected ways to bring this in and it was planned most prominently in the fashion and the cake (that CAKE!!). You’ll see our bride wearing a gorgeous Robert Bullock gown, one that we wish we could casually wear ourselves! Our sweet confection by our favorite at Sugar Therapy donned details from the gown in addition to some other elements we knew we’d find in our setting.

Design and Scribe provided all signage and calligraphy, the perfect touch to this table. Our girl hand wrote every text in gold on a textured black card, set against the wood grains of the table and painted gold china set for each guest. Even in the coldest of degrees, we had to get outside a bit. That texture was taken right outdoors where Justine created the most beautiful ceremonial backdrop with all of the greenery and moody tones!

We always have the greatest time collaborating with our creative partners and to sweeten the excitement for this shoot, Bliss Celebrations Guide featured this piece on their blog. Thank you to the team for sharing with others the joy we had in creating this!!
