Yippie! Today is the long awaited wedding of the most beautiful and sweet bride ever, Jennifer, and her equally genuine and wonderful fiancee, Clark. As you can tell, I couldn’t be more excited to see the wedding of these two come to fruition. They are such a wonderful couple and we have planned a gorgeous pink and purple affair with vintage touches at my favorite spot, The New Haven Lawn Club. Their ceremony will be right in their very own neighborhood at Assumption Church in Westport. We’re working with an incredible team of talent– Robert and Kathleen Photographers, BLUSH floral studio, Rob Alberti Lighting, Bales & Giltin Band, and Sweet Cakes out of Fairfield. Jennifer even has a custom gown by Modern Trousseau with jewels and accessories from The White Dress by the Shore!  We can’t wait to get the festivities and merriment started. Congratulations you two… xo!

Today is Jenna and Brad’s wedding day– and what a GORGEOUS day for a wedding it is! They are getting married here in Connecticut, surrounded by an intimate gathering of friends and family who’ve flown in from all over the country. When I met with Jenna nearly a year ago, I instantly fell in love with her sense of style and love of vintage. While we’re sad that we can’t be there to see all the festivities and merriment come together, we know everything will be wonderful and gorgeous! Our biggest congratulations to you Jenna and Brad!

XOXO

I was lucky enough to have my very dear friend, Carla Ten Eyck, come by our studio to photograph our new space. We decided to take some fun new head shots, too, while she was here! Hair and makeup is courtesy of the every fabulous DD Nickel. That floral parasol? Well, of course it’s from Datura: A Modern Garden. Clothing by… well, do I really need to tell you? Cute little calling card? My girls at posh paperie, of course! xoxo!

I’m excited to officially announce the newest full time member of our team, associate planner Diana Chouinard! Most of our 2010 and 2011 clients already know Diana– she’s been working at Jubilee Events since October of 2009 as my right hand (w0)man, assistant, and now, associate planner. She and I have had the opportunity to travel all of the world together and she has assisted me on nearly all of our amazing weddings and events. To know Diana is to know that she loves three things: desserts (#1), Derek Jeter (#2) and the Spice Girls (huh? well, I love her anyway!). She is overly energetic, extremely passionate about what she does, incredible smart, talented, and helpful. Sometimes I wonder how we existed without her! I have learned so much from her this past year and she continues to inspire me– and everyone that surrounds her!

Diana is meeting with clients for 2010 and 2011 events, working both Month of Coordination and enhanced services. You’ll be hearing a lot more from her on here as she blogs about her own events, thoughts, and inspiration! In the meantime, you can follow her on twitter– @Diana_Jubilee and leave her a little love here on the blog!

xoxo to all!

I wanted to congratulate our friends and neighbors, Ana and Garry from Ana’s Custom Cakes, for their recent feature on The Today Show’s “The Today Show Throw’s a Wedding.” Ana’s gorgeous cake was voted as the best among those designed for this amazing wedding by fans and peers. The cake she created was truly stunning, with four tiers of alternating flavors, adorned with hand-made sugar flowers. Just gorgeous!
Click here to see Ana present her winning cake the day prior to the couple, Melissa and Jeremy. Also check out Rob and Kathleen Trenske’s blog with some behind the scenes images and a story of the experience. Awesome!!

Today, Hala and Michael are getting married at the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church! One week ago, Hala contacted us at Jubilee Events to help her coordinate her wedding day. I feel like I have known her and Michael for quite some time, though, and I am thrilled to be a part of their relaxed, autumn-themed wedding. They are getting married at the Great River Golf Club in Milford and are so excited to celebrate their day with their closest family and friends–some of whom they haven’t seen in over a decade! We get to spend this day with some incredible vendors as well like Hopkins Photography, Shindig Lighting, Millennium Music, Flowers by Danielle, and not to mention their delicious pumpkin cake by The Cake Boutique. Guests are in for an incredible wedding, with an exceptional surprise in store for them as well as the groom!

Hala and Michael, thank you so much for allowing us to share this day with you and your guests! Wishing you nothing but happiness!

Lindsay and I are headed down to Greenwich to prep for the wedding of Krista and Adam, which is full of handmade shabby chic details. I can’t wait to share with you all the little touches that Krista and Adam have put together for their wedding at the Delamar Hotel. Kirsta– Adam, we couldn’t be more happier for today!! Congratulations!!!

xxooo!

Today marks one year, exactly, that Sally contacted us to help plan and design her wedding. I couldn’t be more excited or happy to see today come to fruition and can’t wait to get the festivities under way! Sally and Oliver are getting married at the historic Waveny House in New Canaan, Connecticut and have the creme de la creme of talent as part of their day: Carla Ten Eyck Photography, Gourmet Galley, Vantage Point Films, BLUSH Floral Design, Clark Eno Orchestra, Sweet Cakes of Fairfield and Dana Bartone. Sally, her mother and I have been working on a gorgeous yellow, grey, and white wedding with a lot of special touches. I can’t wait to share the story of their day with you… but for now, congratulations Sally and Oliver!! We couldn’t be more excited and honored to be part of it all.

xoxo!

Today Diana and her team are heading up to the Still River Cafe to celebrate the intimate wedding of Kelly and Paolo! We’ve been working with Kelly and Paolo for quite some time on their thoughtful, vintage wedding. They have a fantastic group of vendors including Joe Kiernan, Azalea Floral Design, and Jen Curtis Photography.

Kelly–Paolo– Congratulations. We couldn’t be more happy or excited for you both! xo
